Tanyah "Dadze" Cotton - Producer, songwriter, keyboards, vocals

Tanyah Dadze CottonTanyah Cotton, began playing the piano at age 4  and classical violin at age 10. Professionally, she  has worn many hats — singer/songwriter,  composer, keyboard player, vocalist, arranger,  event promoter, booking agent and producer. She  has worked with many noted entertainers including  Patrice Rushen, The Whispers,  and Babatunde Olatunji. 

As a keyboard player with Bill Graham Productions, she had the opportunity to play with the Marleys, The Mighty  Diamonds, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Soul Syndicate,  Eek-A-Mouse, Yellow Man and Toots and the  Maytals. In 1993, along with Gloria Jackson, she formed the group One-ina and later Nubii (new-b-eye). Tanyah has composed music for commercials, film, video games and radio, most recently singing and playing percussion with Gaye Adegbalola & The Wild Rá˝»tz. Born and raised in San Francisco, her work has been in the genres of Reggae, Funk, Jazz, African, Latin, R&B, Blues and Caribbean music.
